Doorposts just sent word about the wedding planner!!! Yet again, we are so blessed to be able to walk the path just behind the Forster family without having to reinvent the wheel ourselves! It seems that for the last 15 years we’ve known about this lovely family, everytime we start to look for a particular help in some area, the Lord uses them to come up with some very biblical assistance on that very topic. THANK YOU!!!

Having first received her dad’s blessing, I proposed to my True Love through a song I composed. (Susanne said “Yes” and I said “HALLELUJAH!”) Two months later, we changed a few lines and turned my proposal song into Our Wedding Song. It summarizes the beautiful story of how God brought us together and led us “to walk side by side.” At our wedding, before Susanne’s dad pronounced us husband and wife, we sang Our Wedding Song to the Lord–to thank and honor Him through our musical testimony. It’s been 24 years, and we are still making music together, still in love, and still praising our Heavenly Matchmaker!

I heard about the Wedding Planner from Doorpost. I went on the website to see about ordering some material for a young mother who is in my Bible study.
Became interested in the wedding planner because my granddaughter is engaged as are several young friends.
This is a very needed book in our society when weddings have gotten away from being scripturally focused. This is not intentional for the most part but just because young women and families don’t have info to help them plan otherwise.
They are just doing what has been done by others.

I read about “All Things are Ready” on the recently received Doorposts email. After taking the time to watch the video, I feel this is a book that I want in my library. Having planned and hosted our son’s/ daughter-in-laws wedding in our home, I would have loved to have had such a tool to inspire and guide us in our preparations. As our own daughter is approaching that time, I would love to be prepared ahead with this book, to give it to her as a gift when the timing is just perfect. I am so looking forward to receiving it, reading it and then with our daughter, putting it to good use. May God bless you and yours

I just found out about the wedding planner from an email from Doorposts. Having bought several of Doorposts publications over the years, and because my godly son has just gotten engaged and he and his fiance are trying to plan a wedding for June 16, 2012, I was especially interested when the 12 week timeline was mentioned. Also, because they both desire to honor and serve God, the focus of this planner on bringing glory to God through the wedding ceremony seems especially helpful.

  199. Terri P. says:

What a great answer for a huge need! I love to see Christians step up and offer Godly alternatives where, otherwise, none exist. It is discouraging when all that is offered has such a worldly slant. This looks like it will definately fill that void. Thanks!

It’s a wonderful idea, two of our eight children have been married now and I also help others with sewing and altering wedding clothing, decorating and ideas from my memory, this would be a great resource. They seem to grow up with my family. We have used Plants Grown Up and Polished Cornerstones. We have done both of their young lady Bible studies and now that the oldest of my 11 children is approaching marriage age, to have a resource for wedding preparation is a natural next step in parenting preparation. Thank you once again Doorposts!

My neighbor sent me the doorposts link since my daughter is courting and soon to be engaged.

  223. Wendy Hale says:

Preparing 2 daughters for their roles as godly wives and mothers, I am very excited about this new resource. Too easily the focus tends to be on the wedding day plans rather than the lifetime marriage relationship and vows made between the couple and God. I look forward to the availability of this planner which glorifies God rather than the commercialism surrounding “the bride’s day”.

  224. Jessica says:

Read about this wedding planner on the Doorposts website, after I had just purchased materials for my two young sons. I am currently in a new courtship relationship three years after the dissolution of a very tragic and destructive marriage. Now, my entire family and I are facing the future with a man that God has brought through tragic circumstances of his own. We are prayerfully looking to our future and how we can best bring glory to Jesus’ name and minister to the hearts of our children through the example of what a healthy, Christ-centered marriage looks like. This resource would be INVALUABLE for my entire family as we progress along the path towards making the sacred covenant of matrimony before God, our families, and many joyful witnesses!

I just heard about the give away on an e-mail from doorposts.
My husband and I have homeschooled our 6 children using the charts from Doorpost.
The “If – Then” chart has been a tool we’ve been very successful with.
Our oldest daughter just got married 10 months ago…oh how I wish your planner was available then!
But 4 of our 6 children are girls, so I know your planner would be useful to us.
    We also have MANY nieces and nephews on both sides of the family;
and would be willing to share with our large church family too 🙂
Thank you so much for this offer!

  243. Jasmine says:

I heard about the giveaway through email!

Your wedding planner book was announced in Doorpost’s email message that was sent to my email account. If my name is selected for the give-away book, I would give it to one of my daughters because she will get engaged very soon and she needs help from the book. Thank you.

  248. Laura says:

I received the email from Doorposts in regards to the lovely sounding book that is being offered. I have three daughters ages 25, 17 and 14 years old, all homeschooled, and love the Lord. I’m grateful that there is a book like this for godly brides or future brides to be. This book sounds like it will be wonderful blessing to those who will be using it. I know that I would like to have the help of this book for my girls when that time comes (Lord willing).

  249. Allison C. says:

I saw this book advertised on Doorposts. It looks awesome, especially the daily devotionals. It’s so easy to get caught up in an “it’s all about me and my day attitude,” especially in this day and age. With my oldest daughter getting married in August, I am hoping to receive a copy ASAP! Our budget is tight, so winning a copy would be awesome. I know my daughter would be pleased, as she takes her relationship with the Lord very seriously. Thanks for writing it! I look forward to perusing it, hopefully sooner than later.

  250. Alicia says:

I was forwarded an email about the planner All Things Are Ready by my boss. His wife had received the email, and knowing that I’m recently engaged thought to pass it along to me. I love the concept! My engagement hasn’t been the easiest process so far, and I have a mother who’s been in the Bridal business for almost 20 years- so “proper etiquette” is preached and not God’s vision for the marriage ceremony & wedding. I would LOVE to have this book to plan a wedding according to His purpose!

  251. amyineccl3.11.13@gmail.com says:

Congratulations! God does write wonderful stories, doesn’t He? Chapter 15, especially, might be of interest to you. I included some ideas for Scripture themed weddings, one of which I particularly aimed at remarriages and unique wedding stories. I hope you enjoy your journey and find the planner a blessing!

    Amy Hayes

  252. amyineccl3.11.13@gmail.com says:

Wow! I didn’t even know he knew about it! How fun 🙂

  253. I read about this new book on a Doorposts email. I have 6 wonderful grandchildren who will, Lord willing, be getting married in the future and I would love to be able to share this book and the ideas presented with them. Seems like these days most all the emphasis is on the externals of the wedding and not a whole lot on the preparation of the couple for the covenant of marriage. This new book sounds like a treasure.

  254. Lauren Jackson says:

I heard about this from my Mother~

  255. Rebecca says:

How I wish this had been available then. I still have two children at home and would love to have this planner to use in their future. What a blessing this will be to so many new brides and grooms. I would love to give this to a friend who is planning her wedding, and maybe to have it pass around the church. What a great way to make such a meaningful event a little less stressful!
